1. Who we are
SkiLessonFinder ("we", "us") operates the website skilessonfinder.com — a marketplace connecting tourists with ski instructors and ski schools in Switzerland. We are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Data we collect
When you submit a booking request we collect your name, email address, selected date, lesson type, skill level, and group size. When you create an account we collect your name and email address via our authentication provider. We also collect standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) for security and performance purposes.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to: (a) forward your booking request to the relevant ski school or instructor; (b) send you a confirmation email; (c) improve our platform and fix technical issues. We do not sell your data to third parties and we do not use it for advertising.
4. Third-party processors
We use the following processors: Supabase (database, hosted in EU), Clerk (authentication, US — EU Standard Contractual Clauses apply), Resend (transactional email, US — SCCs apply), and Vercel (hosting, US — SCCs apply). Each processor is contractually bound to handle your data securely.
5. Data retention
Booking request data is retained for 2 years after the lesson date. Account data is retained until you delete your account. Server logs are retained for 90 days.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, or delete your personal data. You may also request data portability or restrict processing. To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@skilessonfinder.com. If you are located in the EU you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.
7. Cookies
We set a single first-party cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) to remember your language preference. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. No cookie consent banner is required as we do not process cookies that require consent under applicable law.
